Deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels have impacted global temperatures and increased atmospheric CO2 levels. How has this affected ocean currents and acidified the ocean? What are some consequences of ocean acidification?   Answer & Explanation: It affects our seawater by making it more acidic and causes carbonated ions to be relatively less abundant because our ocean absorbs 30% of CO2 in the atmosphere and when the level of CO2 increases, the CO2 in the ocean also increases which results to a series of chemical reactions that increases the production of hydrogen ions.
